Under the Patronage of Rizvi Education Society, President Dr Akhtar Hasan Rizvi and Director Adv. (Mrs.) Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi, Rizvi College of Arts Science and Commerce has organised an Online Orientation Program for the First Year Degree college students on 12th October 2021.


The Orientation Programme began with National Anthem followed by Rizvi Tarana at 10.00 am.


Dr. (Mrs.) Anjum Ara Ahmad, Princpal Incharge of the College gave a brief introduction of Rizvi Education Society followed by detailed information on Management scholarship and how we are effectively taking online lectures in Rizvi College of Arts, Science & Commerce through Google Classrooms.


Dr. Arunachalam spoke about all Exam related Guidelines and explained the students the new Credit based system


Ms. Suma Thomas talked about Library and its features and how unique is Dr Rizvi Digital Library (DRDL).


C. A. Ashfaque Karim informed the students about the Anti-ragging cell, importance of attending lectures and also the decorum of the institution. He also briefed them about the active counselling cell of the institution.


Prof. Shehnaz Khan gave wonderful information on different active committees of the College. She gave info on how they can benefit from joining NSS, NCC and WDC.


Prof. Preeti Bambolkar spoke on the other two committees i.e., DLLE and Cultural Committee and how this will help in developing their personalities


Dr. Shilpa spoke about different sports played in Rizvi and how they can enrol themselves in different sports


Mr. Tarique Syed gave insight on government scholarship and how they can apply for it


Dr. Ashfaq Khan talked about Career counselling Cell, placement drive and also Entrepreneurship and incubation cell which will help them in start-up and grow their business


There was a Q/A session at the end where every teacher tried their best to answer their queries


We had around 661 participants from all the First year Degree courses who attended the online Orientation Programme


The program concluded with the Vote of thanks.
