73rd Republic Day was celebrated on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Rizvi College of Arts, Science and Commerce at 10.15 am, as per guidelines issued by Maharashtra Government. Flag hoisting was done by the Principal I/C Dr. ( Mrs.) Anjum Ara Ahmad. There was group singing of the National Anthem, followed by NCC Drill which was followed by NCC Song.Republic Day commemorates the Constitution coming into force. On January 24, 1950, the 308 members of the Assembly signed two handwritten versions of the agreement -- one in Hindi and one in English -- after much deliberation and a few changes. The Constitution came into effect two days later, on January 26, 1950.
